AMD EPYC™ 9004 dual-processor 1U server that supports up to 24 DIMM, 12 NVMe, three PCIe® 5.0 slots, two M.2, OCP 3.0, one dual-slot GPU, and ASUS ASMB11-iKVM
KEY FEATURES
Categories: ASUS AMD based Servers
Advancing Data Center Performance and Efficiency: AMD EPYC™ 9004 Series processors include up to 96 “Zen 4” microarchitecture-based cores, built on 5nm process technology. “Zen 4” enables leadership memory bandwidth and capacity with 12 DDR5 channels, as well as next-gen I/O with PCIe® 5.0 and memory expansion with CXL™. Improved CAPEX and OPEX: 4th Gen AMD EPYC™ processors can deliver the compute performance you need with fewer servers versus competitive solutions—leading to a smaller data center footprint and better TCO.
Dual-socket systems are mainstream in data centres. Increased CPU cores and multithreading ultimately help build large scale-out systems and diversify applications for businesses and end users.
RS700A-E12-RS12U supports dual sockets processors which provides more cores and overall, more database tasks the system can handle. Dual processors are ideal for CPU intensive applications such as scientific applications, machine learning or deep learning, HPC, virtual machines and more.
RS700A-E12-RS12U can support up to 3 TB of RAM which ensures high storage capacity and improved server performance. With this capacity, the server can handle more Virtual Machines, distribute loads more effectively and allow businesses run more smoothly.
RS700A-E12-RS12U features a 1U Rack server form factor designed to maximise rackspace and improve scalability with lower power consumption and TCO. This server is ideal for basic entry-level applications to high performance work loads.
RS700A-E12-RS12U is equipped with 2.5" NVMe hot-swappable drive bays which provides faster data transfer speeds when compared to SATA, in some cases up to five or six times faster than SATA-based technologies.
RS700A-E12-RS12U is equipped with either 2.5" SAS or SATA hot swappable drive options for easy to swap out hard drives upon failure, simple data transfer and backup using multiple hard drives, and ability to utilise more hard drives in fewer bays.
This system utilises a redundant power supply which refers to being powered by two or more physical power supplies. As a result, this improves system up-time as each power supply will have the capacity to run the system on its own if one were to fail.
This system is highly compatible with VMware, a virtualization and cloud computing software that helps modernise your data centre for modern apps, multi-cloud, digital workspaces and even telco cloud. Discover more about VMware here.
This system can be utilised as a small business server for basic entry-level corporate applications such as creating a local firewall, day-to-day office workloads with high numbers of users, server as a print server and other related use cases.
Artificial intelligence (AI) requires purpose-built servers to handle data-intensive workloads — From data preparation to refined training models. This system is highly capable of handling artificial intelligence and machine learning use case. Delivering great compute performance and capacity to train and deploy AI/ML workloads quicker.
Cloud computing applications and workloads can be very demanding, this system is optimised for such workloads. Where businesses may be looking to host server resources and deliver them over a network, typically over the internet which can be accessed by multiple users.
Handling database processing and storage workloads is one of strenghts of this system. Keeping data in a central location which can be regularly backed up and allowing users and application to access data within the network.
This System is highly capable of Web hosting ensuring website performance, speed and availability. It is a technical medium to allow accessibilty for your website to anyone on the internet. Web Hosting will provide server maintainence, support, email accounts and more. It will also provide neccessary tools to easilyu manage your server without high technical skills.
