The TrueNAS R50 is a powerful storage system designed for professionals. It features a 4U-12U rack space, a single controller, 48 x 3.5" and 4 x 2.5" drive bays, and configurable performance options with 6-16 cores and 64 GB-192 GB of DRAM per controller. It also supports 2x 100 GbE Ethernet and optional 2x 32 Gb Fibre Channel, and can expand to 2 additional shelves. With a maximum raw capacity of 2 PB and effective capacity of 5 PB, it also includes 3 x 3.2 TB SSD read and write cache. Its open source economics and support for the TrueNAS project, coupled with its ZFS system optimized for TrueNAS, allows for easy integration with various protocols and hypervisors. It also includes a 3-year warranty, graphical enclosure management, and various management tools and interfaces. The R-Series is available in CORE, Enterprise, and SCALE editions.
